<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor abnormality diagnosis device and a sensor abnormality diagnosis method capable of accurately diagnosing abnormality of a sensor without being limited by driver operation. <P>SOLUTION: The sensor abnormality diagnosis device 12 diagnoses whether or not there is abnormality in a sensor 6 equipped in an engine 10 capable of carrying out operation responding to the driver operation and operation independent from the driver operation.
