<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fan with improved air blowing efficiency of an impeller and a vacuum cleaner using it. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electric fan is equipped with a front shroud 2, a rear shroud 3, the impeller 1 having a plurality of blades 4 provided between both shrouds, an introduction part 6 provided on an inlet part of the front shroud 2 and converting a flow in a rotation axis direction into a flow in a radial direction, a sweepforward wing provided in an impeller 1 inlet side of the blade 4, not connected to the front shroud 2, and connected to the blade 4, an air guide 13 positioned on an outer circumference of the impeller 1, a casing 15 housing the air guide 13 and the impeller 1, and a rotary shaft 10 rotatively driving the impeller 1. In a passage in the radial direction formed by the front shroud 2 and the rear shroud 3, a passage cross section of the passage is flatly increased from an inlet diameter toward an outlet diameter.
