<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface shape variable seat which can easily recover the shape after it deforms once and cushion structure used for the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cushion material 110 is formed with modulus a changeable material 112 and a low-repulsion elastic material 114, and the modulus changeable material 112 is arranged in a location closer to the seat contact surface than to the low-repulsion elastic material 114. If the temperature of the modulus changeable material 112 is set at the temperature T1 which is hotter than glass-transition temperature Tg with a heater 113, the cushion material 110 changes into a shape according to suppress strength of a user sitting on it. Then, if the temperature of the modulus changeable material 112 becomes the glass-transition temperature Tg or below, the deformed shape is maintained. If the temperature of the modulus changeable material 112 is reset at T1, the deformed shape of the cushion material 110 is recovered with the low-repulsion elastic material 114.
