PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for unloading inertia wheels in a spacecraft. SOLUTION: In the method for unloading the inertia wheels 7 in the spacecraft which has three reference axes X, Y, Z with the axis Z being corresponding to the orientation, the direction of accumulation of the angular momentum of the inertia wheels 7 is inverted by automatically rotating and inverting the spacecraft with the axis Z as a center while the orientation is fixed.
