<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode assembly and a fuel cell capable of obtaining high power characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the membrane-electrode assembly 5 having a fuel electrode 2, an oxidizer electrode 3, and an electrolyte membrane 4 arranged between the fuel electrode 2 and the oxidizer electrode 3, at least either of the fuel electrode 2 and the oxidizer electrode 3 includes an oxide carrier having at least one kind of an element Y selected from a group of Zr, Ti, Si, and Al, oxide particles held on the surface of the oxide carrier and having at least one kind of an element X selected from a group of W, Mo, Cr, and V, proton conductive inorganic oxide showing solid super-strong acidity, and hydrophilic organic polymer having at least one kind selected from a group of hydroxyl group, carboxyl group, ether linkage, and amide linkage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
