<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ordinary type combined harvester which can efficiently and smoothly harvest a strongly twining crop such as rape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: There is provided the ordinary type combined harvester comprising a main reaper 63 for reaping planted crops in a transverse posture in a horizontal direction, a reel type raking device whose raking tines are rotated at a position on the upper side of the main reaper 63 to rake planted crops of reaping targets, and a thresher into which the whole bodies of the crops reaped with the main reaper 63 are charged to thresh and separate the crops, characterized by disposing a sub-reaper 7 for reaping planted crops in a vertical posture, at a lateral side end position in the reaping action region of the main reaper 63, and disposing a side cover 95 for covering the driving portion of the sub-reaper 7 from the lateral side.
