PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane rotary compressor capable of suppressing vibration without affecting a clearance between a rear side block and a shaft. SOLUTION: A vane rotary compressor 1 includes: a bottomed tubular case 2 having an opening on one end; a front head 3 fixed on a side of the opening of the case 2; and a compression mechanism unit 5 which is housed in the case 2, a front part of which is supported by the front head 3, and which rotates with a transmitted rotary drive force and compresses gas. A support member 6 press-fitted and fixed in an inner circumference of the case 2 is fixed on a rear part side of the compression mechanism unit 5. The support member 6 serves as a gas-liquid separator 6 supported in the case 2 on the rear part side of the compression mechanism unit 5 and separating oil in the compressed gas from the gas.
