PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device or the like, which is suitably used for simultaneous password authentication by a plurality of users. SOLUTION: The authentication device 300 includes: a display part 302 which displays a plurality of cursors and a plurality of items; a movement part 303 which moves, according to instruction from each of the plurality of users, the cursor associated with the user; a selection part 304 which selects, according to instruction from each of the plurality of users, the item displayed overlapping with the cursor associated with the user; and an authentication part 305 which makes, for each of the plurality of users, authentication of the user successful when the item selected for the user is matched to an item preliminarily determined for the user. The movement part 303 moves the cursor associated with the user successful in authentication regardless of instruction from the user after the successful authentication.
