PURPOSE: A device and a method for providing regional information using a photographing device are provided to convert collected image information into a format of specific information, thereby enhancing usability and portability of a user. CONSTITUTION: A photographing unit(11) photographs a neighboring image. A storage unit(15) stores regional image specific information and regional information. An image information processor(14) generates specific image information and limited information of a photographed image as specific image information. A searching unit(16) offers regional information related to the photographed image. An updating unit updates only specific image information or regional information suitable for the purpose of a user. |
