PURPOSE: An image distortion compensation method and an apparatus thereof are provided to correct the distortion of an image through a homographic model. CONSTITUTION: A motion estimation unit calculates a homographic value through the comparison of an input image with a previous image(220). In addition, the motion estimation unit calculates variation information based on a distortion value and the homographic value(225). An image processing controller corrects the distortion of a current image through accumulated variation information(240). If the number of the stored images is a predetermined number, the image processing controller generates one panorama image through the images.
