<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and a content display method that improve convenience of a user by extracting a face image from actual recorded video content data and displaying it together with a program name. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus has an HDD 111 that stores a plurality of predetermined face images and person's names corresponding to the plurality of predetermined face images, and an image display processing section 301 is configured to extract a plurality of face images from video content data, to extract performer's names from program information corresponding to the video content data, to collate the extracted performer's names with person's names stored in the HDD 111, to collate a predetermined face image corresponding to a matching person's name with the plurality of face images, to temporarily store a matching face image among the plurality of face images, and to display program names corresponding to video content data and matching face images together with the video content data when displaying a list of the video content data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
