PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the processing based on a current location in conformity with an environment where the navigation is made. SOLUTION: The navigation device includes a route data acquisition section 132 to acquire the route data indicating a route 7, a location data acquisition section 131 to acquire the location data indicating a current location 6, a map data acquisition section 13 to acquire the map data 200 indicating a peripheral region of the current location 6, a city type determination section 135 to determine the city type of the peripheral region of the current location on the basis of the map data indicating the peripheral region of the current location, a threshold management section 16 to manage a first threshold used for reroute determination for each city type, and a reroute determination section 134 that computes a distance between the current location 6 and the route 7 on the basis of the location data indicating the current location 6, the route data and the map data 200 indicating the peripheral region of the current location 6 to determine whether or not the computed distance exceeds the first threshold corresponding to the city type of the peripheral region of the current location 6, thereby performing the reroute determination.
