<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent time-dependent change in image displaying color in an FSC-system color liquid crystal display which simultaneously turns on the three kinds of LED light sources of R, G and B, and light up a white light image improve the brightness. <P>SOLUTION: An FSC-system color liquid crystal display sequentially turns on the three kinds of LED light sources of red color, green color and blue color, which are each different in wavelength, at a frequency of 60 Hz or higher and applies a drive voltage to liquid crystal, in synchronization with the light-emitting timing of the LED light sources. In this case, an image of red color, an image of green color and an image of blue color are displayed, and then a white light image which emits light at the same time is turned bright, at the changed luminance ratios of the LED light sources for red color, green color and blue color to display images by white light to improve the brightness. In the FSC-system color liquid crystal display, images to be displayed prior to and after the white light image are altered, together with the LED light sources which emit lights, in correspondence with the images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
