PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network connection system in which an in-vehicle unit is capable of acquiring information from an external communication network. SOLUTION: A network connection system comprises a cellular phone integrated electronic key 10 and an in-vehicle unit 40. The cellular phone integrated electronic key 10 comprises an electronic key function component 30 of an electronic key system 1 for performing narrow-range wireless communication with a vehicle 4 and a cellular phone function component 20 for performing network communication with an external server 60 and is capable of inter-communication between the electronic key function component 30 and the cellular phone function component 20. The in-vehicle unit 40 is mounted in the vehicle 4 and operates as a device at a side of the vehicle 4 in the electronic key system 1 to control on-vehicle equipment. While acquiring information from the server 60 via network communication by the cellular phone function component 20, the cellular phone integrated electronic key 10 transmits the information to the vehicle 4 via the narrow range wireless communication by the electronic key function component 30, thereby allowing the in-vehicle unit 40 to acquire the information.
