Provided is a system with multiple arithmetic units that execute processing according to specified processing requests received from another device, a switching device that transmits data between each of the arithmetic units and the other device, and a storage device that is connected to the switching device and that can transmit data to each of the arithmetic units. At least one of said arithmetic units is provided with a processing request storage means for transmitting and storing processing request data from the other device to the arithmetic unit concerning the aforementioned storage device, and at least another of the arithmetic units is provided with a processing request reading means for reading the processing request data stored in the storage device from the storage device using data transmission.
