A gap is arranged between the cylindrical part of the semiconductor laser diode and the cylindrical part of the lens can case so that they are prevented from being brought into contact with each other in the case of performing position adjustment of a Z direction. The position adjustment of the Z direction is performed by causing the semiconductor laser diode to emit the rays of light, and moving the lens can case to a Z direction while measuring a spot diameter on a screen. Also, slits are formed with equal intervals on a circumference on the side face of the lens can case. When a spot diameter on the screen is turned to be a desired dimension, ultraviolet curing resin is applied to the slit section, and the applied ultraviolet curing resin is cured with the ultraviolet rays of light.
