<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide the attributes of pixels constituting an image at high speed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image processor, which decides the attributes of pixels constituting an image, includes: an image acquisition section which obtains an image; a pixel selecting section which selects the decision object pixels sequentially from the pixels constituting an image; an attribute decision section which decides whether the decision object pixel corresponds to the attributes which correspond to the decision method by a decision method preset in correspondence with each of a plurality of attributes based on the difference value of gray level between two pixels selected among a pixel group including the decision object pixels and the peripheral pixels thereof; and a decision method-setting section which sets a decision method for use in deciding the attributes of the decision object pixel with reference to the decision results of attributes for a pixel other than the decision object pixel.
