<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas injection refrigeration system always operating at an optimum COP even when a high pressure is changed by change of thermal load, secular change or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gas injection refrigeration system is equipped with: a sensor 38 detecting a high pressure of a refrigerant in a radiator 14; and a controller 36 detecting the high pressure of the refrigerant by the sensor 38 while changing an opening of a first expansion valve 16 when at least the high pressure of the refrigerant exceeds a critical pressure of the refrigerant, and adjusting the opening of the first expansion valve 16 on the basis of a variation of the high pressure with respect to a variation of the opening of the first expansion valve 16.
