The vibration damper is provided to damp the rotational vibrations of a shaft, where a rotational damper has a radial annular element (24) lying inwards. The radius of the curvature of an outer lying edge and an inner lying edge have a center of a circle (13) provided to the radius of curvature. The center of the circle is displaced in an axial direction opposite to the center of gravity (11) of an elastomeric material (25). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an arrangement with a vibration damper and a bearing; (2) a method for damping oscillations of a shaft of an internal combustion engine, particularly a crankshaft of a reciprocating engine; and (3) a method for producing a vibration damper.
