PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map updating device for cutting a cost required to update a map by updating only necessary data. SOLUTION: By an updating object data display means 40 and a reduced scale setting means 41, images that represents updating object data are displayed on a map to such a scale as allows a user to check the images on the map together with features which many users should know.
