<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that enables a quick search for desired content by effectively displaying thumbnails of contents representative of content groups. <P>SOLUTION: The content browsing apparatus manages a plurality of contents in a plurality of groups, and for each of the plurality of groups, generates and displays as an icon indicative of the group a group icon having a display of icons corresponding to one or more contents selected from the plurality of contents belonging to the group. In response to an operation input, it is determined whether or not the display of the group icon should be updated, and if it should be updated, the group icon is updated to a new one generated by preferential selection of contents that have not been selected from the plurality of contents belonging to the group indicated by the group icon to be updated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
