The method involves providing a vehicle (1) with an assistance system (2) of a driving dynamic regulation i.e. electronic stability program, and determining a loading condition based on resonant steering behavior of the vehicle. Weight and/or position of a loader with respect to the vehicle is determined based on tire characteristic. The position of the loader is determined in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A warning signal and/or a control signal is emitted during overloading and/or abnormal loading of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a device for determination of a loading condition of a vehicle.
