<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip discharging device for a machine tool adapted to improve working efficiency and productivity by eliminating the need for manual chip collection operation. <P>SOLUTION: The chip discharging device for the machine tool includes: a cover member 15 which is formed to surround a workpiece W and has a tool insertable opening 15a; a suction mechanism 16 for applying suction to the interior of the cover member 15 through a suction passage 16a; and an opening adjustment mechanism 17 for adjusting at least one of the area and position of the opening 15a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
