PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread shank winding button sewing machine, capable of appropriately controlling a thread delivery quantity in conformation to each step of button sewing and thread shank winding. SOLUTION: The thread shank winding button sewing machine 10 is configured to perform button sewing with a button sewing step of sewing a button to a sewing object and a thread shank winding step of reinforcing a sewing thread between the button sewed by the button sewing step and the sewing object as one cycle, and perform thread cutting at least at the end of the button sewing step and the thread shank winding step. The sewing machine includes a thread delivery means (thread delivery device 30) capable of changing the delivery quantity of the thread to be delivered by a current quantity to be carried, and a delivery quantity control means (microcomputer 50) which sets the delivery quantity of the tread to be delivered by driving the delivery means according to the following step.
