PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce moisture permeability and hygroscopicity of a transparent polyimide film having high heat resistance. SOLUTION: An insulator film is used as an insulating substrate for a display panel in which pixels having a semiconductor element, a first electrode and a second electrode are arranged in a matrix, the insulator film comprising a polyimide having a plurality of unit structures represented by Structural Formula (1) [wherein X1is a cyclohexanediamine represented by Structural Formula (2), and R is any one of a single bond and a 1-20C aliphatic group].
