<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device, which can quickly detect abnormality generated in a power supplying system connecting a power source device with recording elements. <P>SOLUTION: An inkjet printer includes a voltage detecting circuit 62, which detects whether the voltage of the power supplying system 55, through which driving power is supplied from power source 50 to the piezoelectric actuator 32 of an ink-jet head 3, is a predetermined voltage or above or not.
