<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cleaning sewage capable of thoroughly and surely removing minute contaminants such as oil components and scum as well as relatively large contaminants such as garbage dregs, in a short period of time and moreover at a low cost, by improving the working efficiency of centrifugal separation/filtration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for cleaning sewage includes a filtering container 2, a driver unit 3 disposed below the filtering container 2, a secondary filtering tank 11 rotatably supported on the driver unit 3, a primary filtering tank 12 disposed in and fixed to the secondary filtering tank 11 to co-rotate with the secondary filtering tank 11, and a sewage feed pipe 20 that feeds sewage into the primary filtering tank 12 from the upper side thereof. A sheet of filtration paper constituted of materials having water permeability as well as a capability of adsorbing oil is installed in each of the secondary filtering tank 11 and the primary filtering tank 12.
