<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle aid for a plastic shopping bag distributed at a super market and the like, which does not bite into a hand, an arm or the like, and which can also store the plastic shopping bag. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The handle aid 11 is made of comparatively soft and flexible material and is shaped into a spiral cylinder so as to have an outer edge opening 12 and an inner edge opening 19 in the length direction as well as a hollow part 13 in the center. When opening the outer edge opening 12 of the handle aid 11 and placing the handle aid 11 for holding the handle of the plastic shopping bag 16, the handle of the plastic shopping bag 16 does not bite into the hand and the arm. The used plastic shopping bag 16 is held in the hollow part B13 of the handle aid 11 after it is folded. When shopping next time, the handle aid 11 having the plastic shopping bag inside is brought with, and the stored plastic shopping bag is used. This is repeated. Thus, while it becomes easy to carry the plastic shopping bag, people can participate in the so-called bringing-their-own-bags campaign for contributing resource protection.
