THERAPEUTIC COMPOSITIONS

The invention provides compositions comprising a therapeutic or prophylactic effective amount of plant flavonoid or derivative thereof for use as a medicament for treating or preventing the development of medical conditions characterised by inappropriate platelet aggregation. The flavonoid may be conjugated with a sugar. The flavonoid may be conjugated with another molecule by an ester bond. The compositions may also incorporate phenolic acids or nucleosides. Compositions of the invention are useful for maintaining heart health by reducing platelet aggregation; benefiting the circulation; and normalizing or otherwise benefiting blood flow.
