Dental compositions containing nanofillers and related methods

The present invention relates to a multi-part hardenable dental composition comprising:
(a) a first part comprising a polyacid;
(b) a second part comprising an acid-reactive filler;
(c) at least 10 weight percent of a nanofiller or combination thereof, having an average particle size of at most 200 nanometers, wherein at least one nanofiller is present in the first part, the second part or both parts; and
(d) water present in the first part, the second part, or both parts.
