PURPOSE: A device for restraining the growth of weeds in the bottom of a guiderail for a road, and a construction method thereof are provided to prevent an accident, such as a fall, by enabling a driver to recognize a guiderail. CONSTITUTION: A device for restraining the growth of weeds in the bottom of a guiderail for a road comprises a fixing band, a support plate, a vertical fixing plate(150), a front cover, a rear cover, and a connection member. The fixing band is installed to cover the bottom of posts(101) of a guide rail. The support plate is installed in the front surface of the fixing band. The vertical fixing plate is installed in the front surface of the support plate. The front cover is installed in the bottom of the vertical fixing plate to block the front bottom space between the posts. The rear cover is installed in the center of the rear surface of the vertical fixing plate to block the rear bottom space between the posts. The connection member fixes the vertical fixing plate, the front cover, and the rear cover.
