摘要 <p>The device for measuring alternating voltage, applicable along with a DC voltmeter (20) where the input signal is applied to the serial connection of a condenser (2) and diode (3), whose orientation can be changed according to the current invention by using switch (11) and in this way enables the selection of the peak value of the alternating component of the input voltage, either positive or negative, features the charging of a condenser (2), which enables that the device detects asymmetrically distorted alternating voltages. If by using resistor (4) by which the direct voltage from the condenser (2) is supplied to the output of the device to which the DC voltmeter (20) is connected, it is selected that the DC voltmeter (20) displays effective values of the undistorted sinusoidal alternating components of the periodically changing input voltage, the device when measuring asymmetrical distorted sinusoidal voltages displays depending on the position of the switch (11) various effective values thus drawing the attention of the person performing the measurement that the true effective value of the measured alternating voltage deviates from both of them, which is different from known devices of the same type not providing this option since in such devices only one of the possible directions of the diode (3) is permanently selected.</p>
