PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which extracts best-shot images for each person from a plurality of images including one or more persons, and generates one composite image to output it. SOLUTION: When imaging one or more persons as objects, a plural photographic image acquisition means 201a acquires photographic images corresponding to the number of images predetermined as the number of acquisition images or the number of images captured in a time predetermined as image acquisition time through shutter release operation, and a figure part image extraction means 203a extracts images for each of one or more persons from among the acquired photographic images as figure part images. A best-shot image determination means 203b extracts best-shot images for each person, which are the best-looking images for each person from the extracted figure part images, and a composite image generation means 203c combines the best-shot images with any of captured background images to generate and output one composite image.
