PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dripping of drain water, and to improve reliability. SOLUTION: The indoor unit for an air conditioner is equipped in a casing with a blower, and a heat exchanger composed of a front side heat exchange part and a rear side heat exchange part, comprising a substantially reverse V-shape as seen from the side, and disposed to surround the blower. It is characterized by that in at least one of an upper side of the front side heat exchange part or three rear side heat exchange part, heat transfer tubes are provided in radiation fins formed integrally in a width direction in three rows in a passing direction of heat exchange air being the width direction of the radiation fins, and in plural stages along a longitudinal direction of the radiation fins, a heat transfer tube composing an outlet tube during heating operation is disposed in the first row of a most upwind side, and a cutting part for thermal cutting comprising a first straight part substantially in parallel with a stage direction of the heat transfer tubes of the first row and a second row, and a second straight part provided slanted in a downwind side with respect to a straight direction of the first straight part from an upper end side of the first straight part is provided on a radiation fin between a heat transfer tube of the first row and the second row.
