<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve cage for an extinguisher which has reduced manufacturing costs and reduced manufacturing steps, and to provide an extinguisher. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The resin-made valve cage for the extinguisher 71 is integrally formed using a plurality of partial metallic molds A, B. The valve cage for the extinguisher 71 has a projection 71f positioned at the periphery of a mating face between the one partial metallic mold A and the other partial metallic mold B, brought into contact with a valve stem 72, to open/close a valve by its forward/backward movement, when the valve stem moves forward/backward, and disposed within a passage of forward/backward movement different from a flow passage 71b of a fire extinguishing agent 60.
