The method involves transmitting a message of a data stream (S1) from a telecommunication network (R1) i.e. home network, to another telecommunication network (R2) i.e. wide area network. Another message of the data stream is transmitted from the latter telecommunication network to the former telecommunication network, where the messages comprise respective management parameters in their header fields. The management parameter to be applied to a set of messages of the stream is selected. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for configuring management parameters of messages in a data stream (2) an equipment forming an interface between telecommunication networks (3) a computer program comprising program code instructions for implementing a management parameter configuring method (4) a readable storage medium for storing the program to implement the configuring method.
