PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer insulated electric wire which has full elongation characteristics as electric wire, satisfies the requirement of heat resistance, and also has processability strong against scratching caused by the component tip, or the like, that is required when the wire is used as a coil. SOLUTION: The multilayer insulated electric wire is configured such that: the outermost layer (A) of an insulating layer consists of an extruded coating layer containing resin, being a thermoplastic polyester resin which is wholly or partially formed by subjecting an aliphatic alcohol component and an acid component to condensation polymerization and in which the number of carbon atoms of the aliphatic alcohol component is four. The innermost layer (B) consists of an extruded coating layer containing thermoplastic polyester resin which is wholly or partially formed by subjecting an aliphatic alcohol component and an acid component to condensation polymerization.
