The method involves performing anticipated detection of a starting instant of a consumption changing event of a radio communication circuit. Information relative to an alert starting instant, is provided to a client circuit before starting instant of the consumption changing event of the radio communication circuit such that the client circuit modifies its energy consumption according to the information relative to the alert starting instant. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising program code instructions to execute steps of an energy consumption managing method (2) a storage unit storing instructions for implementing an energy consumption managing method (3) a device for managing energy consumption of a radio communication device.
