<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically allocate a plurality of input terminals to a plurality of input selectors only with a simple user operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The input allocation apparatus includes:a plurality of input terminals connectable to content reproducing apparatuses and receiving content data from the connected content reproducing apparatus; a plurality of input selectors to which any of the input terminals is allocated; an allocation means which allocates the input terminal to the input selector; a selector selecting means which selects the input selector to be allocated in response to the user operation; a mode transition means which enters an automatic allocation mode; and a connection detecting means which detects that the content reproducing means is connected to the input terminal, in the automatic assignment mode. When it is detected that the content reproducing apparatus is connected to the input terminal, the allocation means allocates the input terminal in which the connection is detected to the input selector selected by the selector selecting means.
