<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main rope lubricating device of an elevator capable of uniformly applying rustproof oil to the entire outer circumferential surface of a main rope, and preventing a periphery in a vicinity of a part of the main rope to which rustproof oil is applied from being stained. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The main rope lubricating device of the elevator includes: an oil feed container 2 to cover a part of a main rope 1 in a sealed state so that the main rope 1 of the elevator is movable in the longitudinal direction; and an oil atomizer which atomizes rustproof oil 9 in the oil feed container 2 to fill the oil feed container 2 with the atomized rustproof oil.
