A red printing ink is produced by uniformly distributing 78 gm of casein in a mixture of 330 gm. of glycerine and 10 gm. of monoethanolamine and heating for one hour over a water bath. On cooling 80 gm. of polyacrylic acid butyl ester/polyvinylmethylether mixture polymerizate in 45-50% aqueous dispersion are added and then 200 gm. of cadmium red, made pasty with water, and a dispersing agent are added. The concentration of the pigment paste has a dry content of 80-85%. The ink is light-proof and immune to phenol, urea and melamine resin. |
