<p>A filter assembly for filtering contaminants from a fluid stream. The housing of the filter assembly is preferably made of fiber reinforced plastic to prevent corrosion from the fluid stream, and can hold one or two filter elements or cartridges, each of which can hold a single filter, or multiple filters. Flow in filter housings having two elements can be unidirectional or opposed.</p>
