PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for interface are provided to reduce the time taken for protocol conversion, analog-digital conversion or digital-analog conversion by transmitting and receiving the payload of data through a common bus. CONSTITUTION: A client(300) includes a common region, and a host(200) receives data from the common region and transmits data to the common region. The common region includes an interface sharing region. The host accesses the interface sharing region in order to obtain the information of the common region before transmitting and receiving the data. The interface sharing region stores the number and address of descriptors storing the size of the transmitted and received data, the number and size of memory blocks storing data, and/or the number of the received data.
