<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a sense of incongruity that a user has by reducing a time lag of a screen showing a process result behind a real video image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A camera system includes an imaging means for picking up a subject image formed through an optical system, an image converting means for expanding the photographed image inputted from the imaging means into image data for one frame, an image processing means for performing predetermined image processing on the image data, an image composing means for putting image processing result together with the image data, a display image generating means for generating an image for display from the image data generated by putting the image processing result together, and an image display means for displaying the image for display. The image composing means puts the image processing result, generated by processing image of a last frame by the image processing means, together with the image data.
