PURPOSE: A water-soluble conjugated polymer is provided to increase solubility to water and to ensure high selectivity to lysozyme, thereby being used as chemical sensors or biosensors. CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble conjugated polymer has a polymerization unit selected from chemical formulas 1-4. In chemical formulas 1-4, R1 and R2 are independently linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl group substituted with sulfonate or tri(C1-C7)alkyl ammonium salts at the end; Ar is (C6-C20) arylene or (C3-C12) heteroarylene including at least one hetero atom selected form N, O and S; and a, b, c and d are a molar fraction, wherein a and c are a real number of 0-1, b is 1-a, and d is 1-c.
