METHOD FOR PRODUCING ETHANOL FROM HULL OF CITRUS

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ethanol from hulls of citruses by saccharification and fermentation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method for producing ethanol includes (A) a step of saccharifying a raw material derived from citruses including the hulls and (B) a step of obtaining the ethanol by subjecting the treated material obtained in the step (A) to an ethanol fermentation treatment by using an immobilized yeast obtained by supporting an ethanol-producing yeast on a carrier containing an alginic acid salt.
