<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston abrasion-resistant ring which can obtain the excellent welding of a cooling channel and an abrasion-resistant ring and having an excellent abrasion-resistant characteristic, a piston equipped with the piston abrasion-resistant ring, and a method of manufacturing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The piston abrasion-resistant ring 32 cast in the piston 15 when the piston 15 of an engine is casted includes the annular abrasion-resistant ring 41 and the cooling channel 42 abutting with and stored in the abrasion-resistant ring 41 at the radially inward side of the abrasion-resistant ring 41 with the abutting portion welded over the entire periphery, the cooling channel 42 includes an inner wall face, an upper wall face and a lower wall face and has an annular oil passage 42m for circulating oil for a diesel engine 10 therein, and a communication hole 43 making the annular oil passage 42m communicated with the external space is shaped at least at the inner wall face, the upper wall face and the lower wall face.
