PURPOSE: A composition containing Parthenocissus tricuspidata extract is provided to promote hair growth and hair follicle activation without irritation to scalp. CONSTITUTION: A composition contains 0.01-30 weight% of Parthenocissus tricuspidata extract as an active ingredient. The Parthenocissus tricuspidata extract is collected from pine tree or oak tree. The Parthenocissus tricuspidata extract is isolated using purified water, methanol, ethanol, glycerin, ethylacatate, butylenes glycol, propylene glycol, dichloromethane or hexane solvent at 15-35°C, cooling, filtering and decompress-concentrating or freeze-drying at maximum 50°C. The composition is used in the form of hair tonic, hair lotion, hair cream, hair spray, hair mousse, hair gel, hair conditioner, hair pack, hair shampoo, or treatment.
