The device (P) has a base frame (1) and two wheels (11), where the distance between the wheels is changeable to each other. The wheels are position-changeable at carriages (6.1, 6.2) and transverse to a driving direction (X). The carriages have two spaced sleeves (7.1, 7.2) that are adjustable along transverse columns (3.1, 3.2) of the base frame. The sleeves are connected by cross-beams (8.1, 8.2). An axle (9) for the wheels is arranged at the carriages, where the axle is connected with the wheels by a bent lever (10).
