STRUCTURAL BODY COMPRISING FILLER AND INCOMPATIBLE RESIN OR ELASTOMER, AND PRODUCTION PROCESS OR USE THEREOF

Disclosed is a novel structural body comprising an incompatible resin selected from a thermoplastic resin and a thermosetting resin and/or an incompatible elastomer and a filler dispersed in the resin and/or the elastomer. Also disclosed is use of the novel structural body. Specifically disclosed is a bicontinuous structural body comprising a binary system selected from an incompatible resin selected from a thermoplastic resin and a thermosetting resin and/or an incompatible elastomer, wherein a filler is selectively and homogeneously dispersed in any one of the resin and/or the elastomer. The structural body is produced by carrying out a cycle of the following procedures: charging the resin and/or the elastomer through a supply port provided on the end part of a melt-kneading section having a heating section in a cylinder equipped with a screw, treating the resin and/or the elastomer under such conditions where the number of revolutions of the screw is 100 to 3000 rpm and the shear rate is 150 to 4500 sec, confining the treated material in a gap arranged in the top part of the screw, and moving the material from the gap to the back-end part of the screw.
